THE MAIN STREET PROJECT
Llano, the "Hub of the Texas Hill Country," is located at the intersection of Texas State Highways 16, 29 and 71 on
the Llano River approximately 70 miles west of Austin. Established in 1856, Llano is known for it's hospitality,
scenery, antique stores, historic buildings, Whitetailed deer, fishing, BBQ, cowboys and cattle.
The Llano Main Street Project is a program of the City of Llano designed to help our community revitalize the
historical business district by strengthening existing businesses, drawing new businesses, and focusing on the
appearance and retail mix of the historical business district.
Llano Main Street envisions the Historic Business District as the heart of the community where history is preserved,
where unique and exciting businesses flourish, and a place where both residents and visitors want to come for
shopping, living and entertainment.
